VETERAN GUITARIST RELEASES NEW CD
June 28, 2004 (Santa Rosa, CA) -- John Michael, a singer, songwriter and guitar
player from Santa Rosa, California, will release his new CD Strictly from
Hunger on July 2nd. The album is a blend of blues, jazz, rock and pop.

John Michael's fiery electric guitar style on the Strictly from Hunger CD reflects his admiration of the awesome guitar players from the 1960's and '70's: Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Robben Ford, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Larry Carlton, and Jerry Garcia. Recording all original compositions using the computer, Michael combines the sounds of drums, bass and keyboards from computer sound modules, with his recorded voice and guitar playing. Revealing another aspect of Michael's extraordinary artistry is his diversity of genre--going from classical guitar in his previously released Mi Para Ti CD (easy listening, jazz and Latin jazz) to electric guitar found in the just released Strictly from Hunger CD, with sweltering guitar licks, amazing composition and lyrics.
